We were very sad to say goodbye to our Spanish friends Elena and Ava. They were a great help to us here in St Patrick’s BNS and the boys will really miss them! We wish them the very best in their future teaching careers.
It’s been a good start to this season’s campaign with two wins out of two. We began with a hard-fought 5-4 away win in Cabra. It was an absolute cracker of a game in wet and wintry conditions. Aaron Murphy-Dunne was captain for the game and he responded with an amazing haul of 4 goals. Ceilim Gannon scored a late winner to get our season off to a winning start. Adam Nulty played a splendid match in midfield for us. Igor was very solid at the back.
Team: Craig, Kyle, Igor, Dylan, Joshua, Kuba, Aaron M, Adam, Jake, Ceilim, Arron MD(c). Subs: All of the subs. came on: Ciaran, Cian, Stephen, Ryan, Scott.
Game two was at home against old rivals Donnycarney and we emerged victorious on a scoreline of 2-0. We netted twice in the second half through an excellent solo effort from Ceilim Gannon and a thunderous free-kick from Aaron Meleady. Jake O’Neill from 3rd class excelled on his home debut. After a nervous first half we played some great attacking football in the second period. Luke and Kuba were calm at the back and Aaron, Igor and Adam started to boss the midfield. They supplied our skilful front trio with plenty of ball to attack our opponents and only good goalkeeping and the offside flag prevented us from adding to our tally.
Team: Craig, Joshua, Kuba, Luke, Dylan, Igor, Aaron M, Adam (c), Jake, Ceilim, Aaron MD. Subs: (5 came on) Ciaran, Cian, Scott, Stephen, Kyle, Ryan.
Next up for us is another tricky away trip to the Navan Road followed by a home match against our local friends and rivals, John Scottus. Let’s hope our lucky new kit sees us progress through from our group to the semi-finals.

Cian O’Reilly from 5th class had the very lucky opportunity to take part in the St Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin last weekend. Cian was in the Lord Mayors Carriage for the parade along with his sister Ella and local Councillor and Deputy Lord Mayor Maria Parodi. Well done Cian!!!!
We had great fun on Friday celebrating St Patrick’s Day in the classroom. The boys made a great effort to wear green clothes and we took the opportunity to skype our new Spanish friends! They were very impressed with our dancing and singing skills!
The boys and girls from 6th class in St. Patrick’s schools celebrate their Confirmation in Ringsend Church at 11am on Friday, March 9th. Congratulations to all!
