Halloween Time!

Junior and Seniors were busy preparing for Halloween. Senior Infants  did Halloween Art in the classroom – thanks to Mr. Lehman and all the parents/grandparents who came into help them. Their ghosts and pumpkins turned out great!

Junior Infants got into the festive fun by wearing their favourite costumes and playing some halloween games. DSCF6743DSCF6742DSCF6740DSCF6739DSCF6737DSCF6735DSCF6733DSCF6732DSCF6731DSCF6730DSCF6729DSCF6728

i-Pads in the classroom

Juniors have started using i-pads to help with their learning in Maths.

They have been sorting and matching shapes and colours through the app – one billion – Maths 3-5 years.

They keep asking when our next i-Pad session is and they were happy to hear that it will be every week!DSCF6713DSCF6710DSCF6709

Stamp Charts Completed!

Junior Infants are all nearly finished their first stamp charts.

Here are the first four boys who successfully got all their stamps – Max, TJ, Caleb and Alexander.

Boys collect  a stamp every time they are in early, are well behaved and come into school independently.

Gaelic Football 2015

Training has been underway since September with nearly 30 boys attending each session. We have played 3 league games, winning two of them, and have now advanced to the knockout stages where we entertain Lis na nOg Gaelscoil Rathmines in the Cup Quarter-Final in Clanna Gael Fontenoy grounds on Thursday, October 8th at 2.30pm. To reach this stage we beat Scoil Caitriona, Baggot St. and St. Dominic’s, Tallaght but lost to St. Matthew’s who played some excellent football on the day to win quite comfortably. Everyone who attended training has had some game time during these matches and we hope we can reach Croke Park to emulate last year’s achievements.

Update: We played a fantastic and thrilling match in our QF and were very unlucky to lose after extra-time. All 18 players who played performed heroically and everyone connected with the team and school is very proud of them for a brilliant display.
