The Heineken Cup visited our school today (Thursday June 7th) with thanks to the boys’ rugby coach Jack Hanratty from Leinster Rugby. [slideshow id=79]
[slideshow id=24] On Monday the 28th of May last, 3rd – 6th classes went on a hike to Djouce Mountain. It was one of the toughest hikes the school has completed and fortunately we all made it home alive!
Sports Day will take place in Irishtown stadium from 10am to 12pm on Friday May 25th this year. Please come along to enjoy a fun day for all the family. Cian O’Reilly from 5th class had the very lucky opportunity to take part in the St Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin last weekend. Cian was in the Lord Mayors Carriage for the parade along with his sister Ella and local Councillor and Deputy Lord Mayor Maria Parodi. Well done Cian!!!!
[slideshow id=59]The boys from 5th and 6th attended a debate on graffiti in Ringsend library. It was decided that graffiti could only be classified as art if permission was received for the work. We learned that tagging is not cool and is merely a form of vandalism and attention seeking.
The boys from 5th and 6th displayed their artistic talents when they created some wonderful clay figures as part of their History project about the Easter Rising of 1916. Thanks to Ms. Fay, our visiting student teacher for her work on this project.
The boys from 5th and 6th class are having great fun and learning all about computers with Dean, our visiting teacher. They will be writing blogs and learning how to do animation.
