As usual, each teacher had a difficult task to choose the boy who had made the biggest effort, showed the most improvement, overcame the most obstacles, displayed the most kindness or showed the best manners when it came to picking their pupil of the month. Well done boys for being picked by your teachers for your great work, effort and behaviour during the month of September. The teachers had a difficult task as so many boys had been in contention for the prizes on offer but there could only be one winner per classroom - except in the case of Ryan and Darragh!
We have purchased new tablets, ipads, chromebooks, headphones, electronic whiteboards and storage cabinets in order to further roll out digital learning throughout the school. The boys are busy working away on google classroom, seesaw, mathswhizz, spellings for me, AR, MyOn and other platforms on a daily basis. At the beginning of 2020 our school underwent a whole school evaluation. It was a very long ride. When we exited the bus we were greeted by our tour guides. We went into their cold, small house where they told us the rules of the farm. Then we set out to visit the chickens. We were able to feed the chickens. I had a pain in my hand for the rest of the day because they pecked me 10 times. Next we went to visit the goats. There is a special goat, whose name is Billy....
Our amazing football team won their Divisional Final 1-0 with a last minute winner from Harry against a valiant St Damien's Walkinstown side. This means the boys have won the League and Cup Double as well as the 5 a side regional section and the 3rd and 4th class 5-a-side blitz.
