Ballet Lessons

1st, 2nd and 3rd classes had ballet lessons today with Stephen from Ballet Ireland. They were exhausted after the lessons but had a brilliant time. Ballet is brilliant for strength, balance, coordination and concentration and the boys really enjoyed it.

As you may know, the department of education has sanctioned the building of 2 new special classes and a new shared General Purposes Hall on the site of our existing sports hall. The school staff members are working away preparing the school for the arrival of the boys next week. We open on Thursday August 26th. We are looking forward to seeing everyone but we will reserve the biggest welcome for the new boys in Junior Infants. See you soon.

Active Schools Week

This week, the boys have been playing outdoors, visiting the park, going to the playground and receiving coaching in cricket, hurling and football as part of Active Schools Week. Please encourage the boys to exercise at home in order to keep their fitness levels up after Lockdown.

Reopening

It has been brilliant to have Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st and 2nd classes back this week. We have missed the boys so much and it is so lovely to hear their happy voices echo around the place again. We look forward to seeing the older boys return soon.
