Bienvenido Carmen and Lucia!
Our two new teachers from Spain have arrived and will work in the school until December. Carmen will work in the senior end of the school with Ms. Purcell and Mr. Booth and Lucia will work in the junior end of the school with Ms. Fitzgerald and Mr. O’Rourke. We hope they enjoy their time here in Ringsend.
Swimming
1st, 3rd & 4th classes begin their ten weeks of swimming lessons in Sportsco pool on Thursday, September 13th at 10:00. This covers the Aquatics requirement of the P.E. curriculum. Being so close to the sea, rivers and a canal it is vital that all of the boys in our school learn how to swim. Each boy should have speedos/trunks/shorts (not football shorts), a towel, goggles, a swimming cap, arm-bands if needed and a light back-pack to carry his clothes. Qualified instructors will provide the tuition. Parents may come to view their children but cameras and phones are not permitted in the viewing area.
Gaelic football
The boys in Mr. Booth’s 5th and 6th classes have started training for the new season of Gaelic Football matches which begin in September. Good luck boys!
New Junior Infants arrive!
Ms. Fitzgerald’s new batch of Junior Infants are settling in well to life in St. Patrick’s. Let’s hope they all have a great year. Our old friend, Mr. Murphy is back for two weeks of teaching with Ms. fitzgerald this month.
Welcome back everyone!
Welcome to our new Junior Infants and welcome back to all of our returning pupils as we begin a new year here in St. Patrick’s B.N.S. We hope it is a happy and rewarding year for everyone in the St. Patrick’s family here in Ringsend.
