Our Gaelic footballers reached the Croke Park Shield Final after an excellent season. On a miserable, cold and wet afternoon we were very unlucky to lose by to two points to a strong opponent in Holy Trinity Glencairn. We displayed tremendous effort, skill and teamwork throughout and scored many fine goals and points. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t our side and the woodwork and some excellent goalkeeping prevented us from getting the victory we probably deserved on the balance of play. Everyone played brilliantly but special mention must go to Scott for his two goals despite fracturing his arm and Kyle S who was immense throughout. The result was disappointing but the game was thrilling and the performance was one that will be remembered for a long time by the large crowd present in Croker on the day. Well done boys. We are very proud of you.
