St Patrick’s BNS 9-0 Mother of Divine Grace, Ballygall.
We kicked off our football season with a comprehensive win in the Pegasus Cup in Irishtown. The game was played in a good spirit and every squad member got plenty of playing time in the spring sunshine.
Our two goalkeepers kept clean sheets. Josh didn’t have much work to do but Calum saved a penalty and its follow-up and watched a second penalty blaze over his crossbar.
Calum J had a great game in defence and also got forward to score a lovely goal. Luke H scored a great hattrick of goals. Other scorers were Jack O’S, Craig, and Daragh B. Murphy scored his first goal for the team as well as being captain. Leon, our 3rd class debutante, capped a fine performance with a goal with the last kick of the match.
There will be a tougher challenges ahead but it was an excellent start to the season. Well done boys.
