Pupils of the Month

We had our first assembly in over 2 years last week and it was so nice to have all the pupils and staff come together to celebrate our return to school and to talk about our hopes for the year ahead. Each teacher chose one boy from her/his class as their pupil of the month. Well done to Logan, Luke, Noah, Caellum, Brogan, Alex and Rian for their great start to the new school year. Keep up the great effort!

AsIAm Visit

Adam Harris, from Autism charity AsIAm, visited Mr Fahy’s class on Monday and spoke to the class about autism and his journey through school and life. It was an excellent and informative discussion and we were delighted to host Adam who does exceptional work in raising awareness about autism throughout the country. The boys found the chat really interesting and asked some brilliant questions at the end.

Hiking Trip

We have a long tradition of hiking in this school and our 5th and 6th classes enjoyed a great hike in beautiful weather on Friday. They hiked from Djouce Woods to Crone Woods and got to see the Powerscourt Waterfall as well as Djouce and Maulin. It was a day that will linger long in the memory.

Zoom Ahead with Books

The boys from Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 1st classes had an exhibition of their drawings as part of the Zoom Ahead with Books Project, in association with the NCI. Each child read 10 books and together with his parents, drew a picture of their favourite page from a story. The drawings were absolutely brilliant. See for yourselves below….
